A bold and refreshing limited release from the Waterford-based Blackwater Distillery.

These four bottles each follow a historic mash bill which time almost forgot.

Peter Mulryan and his team have followed each mash bill but distilled them with a present-day focus.

This is set No.1 of 1,000, a very small release given its importance in reviving practices of historic Irish distilling.

The Manifesto presentation box will come with a 64-page hardback companion book, by Peter Mulryan of Blackwater Distillery and author of The Whiskeys of Ireland, providing context and tasting notes, but also explaining how distilling processes have changed, and how much of Ireland’s whisky heritage has been lost.

This release has been kindly donated by the Blackwater Distillery team with all the funds being raised for the restoration of Ballyduff Storehouse.

About Ballyduff Storehouse
This old grain store rejuvenation is taking place in the rural village of Ballyduff Upper in West Waterford.  This rejuvenation is a community led by a group of volunteers who started this project on zoom over covid lockdown.  
The project is due to complete in March 2023, when completed the bottom level will contain the village's only shop, the middle level a youth recreation area, and the top floor will be a gym.  
This building is intended to be a central community hub for all ages in our village.  

As a local community €100,000 needs to be raised to support the building of this facility which costs €750,000 in total, €650,000 has been raised in various streams of grant funding. €38,000 has also been raised to date locally.
The proceeds of this auction will go directly to our fundraising pot and will be most welcome!
