Description
A very Rare porcelain Jug featuring the D.W.D branding.
The Dublin Whisky Distillery was one of the powerhouse distilleries at the turn of the 20th Century, they had a Distillery on Jones Road, Dublin 1 which closed in 1926 but is said to have briefly resumed distilling in the early 1940's but was eventually liquidated in 1945.
The Water Jugs were part of a heavily advertising campaign between 1928 and 1931.
The Jug has some fading on the colours and some small marks around the base.
A fantastic piece to feature in any collection.
