Description
A very Unique piece of Irish whiskey Memorabilia. Antique 19th Century Dring and Fage London Maker to the Customs & Excise 4’ Custom Dipping Rod and is in good used condition.
This piece of equipment was used by the Revenue service to measure the contents of Barrels and casks to calculate the contents of those barrels so that the duties could be levied on the distilleries .
A boxwood stick that has different scale markings on it's 4 faces.
Imperial gallons,Inches, and stamped with custaim agus málcustoms on the bottom.
There are small brass fittings on the tool to allow the measurement of Volume.
