Description

Jameson & Classic Football Shirts Collaborate On Limited Edition Bottles

Continuing their great work in supporting the EFL, Jameson Irish Whiskey has teamed up with Classic Football Shirts to adorn a new line-up of limited edition bottles with five of the greatest-ever EFL away jerseys.

Carefully chosen by experts at Classic Football Shirts, each bottle honors special kits worn during iconic away days from each selected club. Leicester City fans can reminisce about their popular green alternative kit from 1984, which was famously worn by English football legend, Gary Lineker. Meanwhile, Sunderland fans can recall their white away kit from the early 90’s, which was also worn in the 1992 FA Cup final.

From the 1998-99 season, Charlton Athletic’s bespoke bottle showcases an iconic jersey worn by club legend Clive Mendonca during the club’s first year in the Premier League, while Portsmouth’s unique yellow jersey from the same season, was worn by the likes of Steve Claridge and proved to be popular with fans at the time.

Finally, Tranmere Rovers’ commemorative bottle pays respect to their 1991 away kit, the same shirt that the club famously wore in their 1991 third-division playoff final win at Wembley.

Jameson

The Original Bow Street Distillery that traded under the Jameson brand was established on the Bow street site in 1780 and a distillery traded on that site right up until all production was moved from there in 1971. At one stage one of the largest producing distilleries in the world with 1,000,000 gallons, it still is one of the most recognised whiskey brands in the world and leads the way in the resurgence of Irish whiskey in the USA and Asian countries. The production under the Jameson brand now includes some innovative creations and blending’s and still the age statement expressions that have gained them a customer base with whiskey connoisseurs worldwide.
